Jim Touchie

Jim Touchie was born and raised in Ucluelet East. He was taught to carve by his late uncle Bennett Touchie Sr., one of his mothers brothers. His first piece was an unfurnished carving from one of his late cousins.

He has been carving on and off for 40 years now, claiming his best works are humming birds and talking sticks, however he also enjoys carving rattles, masks, and totem poles.
